ZenScientist.com is designed to serve two functions: Subscription management & create a communication portal for members. The privacy for each of these is slightly different.

Subscription Management: In order to manage your subscriptions and memberships, ZenScientist.com will provide your contact information, shipping address, and subscriptions, to the society(ies) for which you have subscribed. ZenScientist.com does not keep your billing information on file. Any credit card information provided through mail-in or fax orders is shredded after charging your subscription(s). Any billing information provided with online orders is not transferred to ZenScientist.com and falls under the privacy policy of Authorize.net.

ZenScientist.com, LLC does not share or sell your information to anyone except as needed to manage your subscriptions. Mailing lists are not sold by ZenScientist.com. Individual societies may sell their membership lists. Please contact the society to find out their policy regarding their membership list.

Communication/Social Network: All subscribers through ZenScientist.com are automatically provided a profile page to facilitate communication with other registered members of the website. The default profile does not contain any personal information. Privacy settings are available to each registered user for any information you provide about yourself within your profile. These settings are within the tab to enter the information and can be set to allow all registered website users to view the information, only colleagues, specific colleague groups, or the privacy setting can be set to be invisible on your profile. It is the sole responsibility of the user to set the privacy settings for information provided within their own profile.

Advertisements and cookies: ZenScientist.com does allow limited advertising on the site. However, these ads, may only contain links to the product or company being advertized. We specifically try to avoid 'cookies' and internet use tracking programs. Any ads that appear on ZenScientist.com pages for one individual, will also appear for everyone else, no targeted ads will be allowed. The purpose of this policy is to eliminate junk ads, increase user privacy, and to provide a professional environment for ZenScientist.com users.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, or subscribe to one of our newsletters.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required toï¿½keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
